Which band's debut album is 'Bonded by Blood'?
Answer
Exodus
Answer
Exodus
Bonded by Blood is the debut studio album by the American thrash metal band Exodus.
The album was recorded in 1984 and officially released on April 5, 1985, through Combat Records. It features vocalist Paul Baloff, guitarists Gary Holt and Kirk Hammett, bassist Rob McKillop, and drummer Tom Hunting. Hammett later left Exodus and joined Metallica, making his connection to the album especially notable in thrash-metal history.
Bonded by Blood was originally titled A Lesson in Violence. An advance cassette circulated through the tape-trading underground before the official release, building anticipation among metal fans. Delays involving the artwork and record-label problems meant the album arrived after it had been completed, but it became one of the most influential early Bay Area thrash records.
The album's title was later reused by another band, Bonded by Blood, which can create confusion in searches. Exodus also re-recorded the original album in 2008 under the title Let There Be Blood. That release is a remake, not the band's debut.
