Which band's debut album is 'Appetite for Destruction'?

The story behind the answer

The band whose debut album is Appetite for Destruction is Guns N’ Roses.

Released on July 21, 1987, Appetite for Destruction was the debut studio album by the Los Angeles hard-rock band Guns N’ Roses. Produced by Mike Clink for Geffen Records, it introduced the group’s combination of punk attitude, bluesy guitar work, heavy riffs, and glam-rock spectacle.

The album initially sold modestly, but its fortunes changed after MTV began airing “Welcome to the Jungle.” Follow-up singles “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” “Paradise City,” “Nightrain,” and “It’s So Easy” helped turn the record into a blockbuster. “Sweet Child o’ Mine” became the band’s first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100.

Appetite for Destruction is often remembered alongside late-1980s albums by Bon Jovi, Poison, and Mötley Crüe, but Guns N’ Roses had a noticeably rawer and more dangerous sound. The album has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and is widely regarded as one of the best-selling debut albums in rock history.
