Which band released the 1992 death metal album 'Legion'?
Answer
Deicide
Answer
Deicide
The 1992 death metal album Legion was released by Deicide. It is the American band’s second studio album and came out on June 9, 1992, through R/C Records.
Deicide recorded Legion at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida, with producer and engineer Scott Burns. The album features vocalist and bassist Glen Benton, drummer Steve Asheim, and guitarists Eric and Brian Hoffman. Its songs are known for their extremely fast tempos, technical guitar work, and highly aggressive performances.
Legion is often discussed alongside the influential Florida death metal scene of the early 1990s. It followed Deicide’s self-titled 1990 debut and developed a sharper, more technically demanding sound. Although some of its songs were difficult for the band to perform live and were temporarily dropped from setlists, the material later returned to performances. The album is sometimes confused with releases by other major death metal bands, but its artist is unambiguously Deicide.
