The Aston Martin hypercar co-developed with Red Bull Racing is the Valkyrie.
Originally revealed under the code name AM-RB 001 in 2016, the car was created through a collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies. Red Bull’s Formula One designer Adrian Newey contributed to its aerodynamic concept, while Aston Martin developed the road-car identity and production program.
The Valkyrie was designed as a road-usable machine with track-focused performance. Its hybrid powertrain combines a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre Cosworth V12 with an electric motor, producing roughly 1,160 horsepower. Production examples were assembled in the United Kingdom, with manufacturing beginning in 2021.
A common mix-up is confusing the Valkyrie with the Aston Martin Valhalla. Both are mid-engine performance cars, but the Valkyrie is the model directly associated with Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies and Adrian Newey. Its name also comes from Norse mythology, not motorsport terminology.
