Ezio Auditore is the Florentine nobleman who becomes an Assassin during the Italian Renaissance.
Ezio is the central character of Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. His story begins in Florence in 1476, when the execution of his father and brothers forces him to uncover a conspiracy involving powerful Templars.
Unlike Altaïr, who is already an Assassin at the beginning of the first game, Ezio starts as a young aristocrat with no formal training. His journey takes him through Florence, Venice, Forlì, Rome, and Constantinople as he develops into a leader of the Brotherhood.
His name is sometimes shortened incorrectly to “Ezio Auditore da Firenze,” but “Ezio Auditore” is the character’s standard name. The trilogy follows him across decades, from an impulsive teenager to an experienced Mentor.
