Which artist created the manga series Pandora Hearts?

The story behind the answer

Jun Mochizuki created the manga series Pandora Hearts.

Pandora Hearts is a Japanese fantasy manga written and illustrated by Jun Mochizuki. It was serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Fantasy from 2006 to 2015 and collected in 24 tankōbon volumes. The story uses the Pandora myth as part of a much larger setting involving the Abyss, contracts, memory, and inherited guilt.

The series is not a retelling of Hesiod’s poem. Its title and organization, including the Pandora organization within the story, draw on the cultural associations of the myth while developing original characters and supernatural rules.

A television anime adaptation aired in 2009. Because both the manga and anime are commonly called Pandora Hearts, identifying the creator specifically points to Jun Mochizuki rather than to the animation studio or adaptation staff.
