The Weinstein Company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on March 19, 2018, after the sexual-abuse allegations against co-founder Harvey Weinstein triggered a severe business crisis.

The Weinstein Company produced and distributed films including The King’s Speech, The Artist, and Django Unchained. It also operated in television production and distribution.
