Grace is introduced as a skilled professional thief who becomes entangled in Ethan Hunt’s race to secure the two-part key linked to the Entity. She initially steals one key piece from Ethan at Abu Dhabi International Airport, making her an adversary before the film gradually places her alongside the IMF team.

The casting can be confused because the film features several prominent female characters. Rebecca Ferguson plays Ilsa Faust, Vanessa Kirby plays arms dealer Alanna Mitsopolis—also known as the White Widow—and Pom Klementieff plays the assassin Paris.
