Which actress plays General Frances Ardmore in Avatar: Fire and Ash?

Edie Falco plays General Frances Ardmore in Avatar: Fire and Ash. Ardmore is a senior RDA commander responsible for the organization’s military operations on Pandora, placing her above Colonel Miles Quaritch in the chain of command.

Falco is best known for playing Carmela Soprano in The Sopranos, a role that earned her multiple Emmy Awards. She later starred as Diane Whittlesey in Oz and as Dr. Annalise “Lani” Sayers in Nurse Jackie, further establishing her range across crime drama and comedy.

In the Avatar films, Ardmore represents the corporate and military forces attempting to secure Pandora’s resources. A common mix-up is confusing Falco with CCH Pounder, who plays Mo’at, Neytiri’s mother, or Kate Winslet, who plays Ronal, the Metkayina spiritual leader and Tonowari’s wife. Michelle Yeoh is not the actress playing Ardmore.
