Which actress played Jerry’s girlfriend Sidra in “The Implant”?

Teri Hatcher played Jerry’s girlfriend Sidra in “The Implant.” Sidra becomes the focus of Elaine’s suspicion after Elaine decides that Jerry’s new girlfriend may have breast implants.

Jerry first dates Sidra after meeting her at a health club. Elaine investigates on Jerry’s behalf, and Jerry abruptly stops seeing Sidra after Elaine reports her conclusion. Later, Elaine accidentally grabs Sidra’s breasts while trying to break a fall, reverses her judgment, and declares them real and spectacular.

The episode aired on February 25, 1993, as season 4’s nineteenth episode. Hatcher’s performance is especially memorable because Larry David asked her during taping to add the famous final line about Sidra’s breasts. That improvised addition became one of the episode’s best-known moments. Hatcher later became widely recognized for roles in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and Desperate Housewives, but Sidra remains one of her signature early television appearances.
