Carrie-Anne Moss, best known as Trinity in The Matrix, played Jeri Hogarth in Jessica Jones.
Moss portrayed the character throughout Marvel's Jessica Jones, which premiered on Netflix in 2015. Jeri is a high-powered attorney whose professional relationship with Jessica Jones places her near many of the series' legal and personal conflicts. Moss's performance made Jeri one of the show's most prominent supporting characters.
The television version is a gender-swapped adaptation of Jeryn Hogarth, a male attorney from Marvel Comics who first appeared in Iron Fist #6 in 1976. The series reimagined the character as Jeri Hogarth, a lesbian attorney, while retaining the character's connection to the wider Marvel street-level universe.
Moss also played Jeri in related Marvel series including Daredevil, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. The role is sometimes confused with Jessica Jones herself, played by Krysten Ritter, or with Trinity, Moss's iconic character from The Matrix films.
