Which actor voices the World Serpent Jörmungandr in God of War (2018)?

J. B. Blanc voices the World Serpent Jörmungandr in God of War (2018).

Jörmungandr is an enormous serpent living in the waters surrounding the Lake of Nine. Although the creature cannot speak ordinary human language, its deep vocalizations are presented as meaningful to characters such as Mímir, who interprets them for Kratos and Atreus.

The World Serpent comes from Norse mythology, where Jörmungandr is the child of Loki and is destined to fight Thor during Ragnarök. The 2018 game uses the serpent as both a memorable environmental presence and an important figure in its mythology.

The voice credit is easy to overlook because Jörmungandr communicates through colossal growls rather than conventional dialogue. Jeremy Davies voices Baldur, Alastair Duncan voices Mímir, and Peter Stormare voices the dwarf Sindri. J. B. Blanc is credited with the World Serpent’s vocal performance.
