Which actor voiced the character Tenzin?

J. K. Simmons voiced Tenzin in The Legend of Korra. His performance gives the character a calm, authoritative voice while also exposing Tenzin’s anxiety about living up to his father Aang’s legacy.

Tenzin is Aang and Katara’s youngest child and their only child to become an airbender. At the beginning of the series, he is the world’s only living airbending master and serves as Korra’s teacher. He is also responsible for preserving Air Nomad culture after the genocide that nearly erased it.

Simmons’s role is sometimes confused with the voices of characters from the original Avatar series.
