Which actor portrayed Windom Earle in Twin Peaks?

Kenneth Welsh portrayed Windom Earle in Twin Peaks.

Earle is a former FBI agent and the former partner of Dale Cooper. He becomes one of the principal antagonists in the second season, using his knowledge of Cooper’s investigative methods and the supernatural mythology surrounding the Black Lodge.

Welsh played Earle as both theatrical and dangerous. The character disguises himself, manipulates people in Twin Peaks, and pursues a larger plan involving the mysterious lodge. His arrival shifts the series from an investigation centered mainly on Laura Palmer toward a more direct confrontation with Cooper’s past and the town’s supernatural forces.

Welsh was a Canadian actor with a long career in film and television. His other notable roles included characters in The Aviator and The Day After Tomorrow, but Earle remains especially associated with Twin Peaks fans.
