Which actor plays Sergeant Terry Jeffords?

Terry Crews plays Sergeant Terry Jeffords in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Terry is the physically imposing but caring supervisor of the 99th Precinct’s detective squad, known for his devotion to his family, fitness, and yogurt.

At the beginning of the series, Terry has returned to police work after taking time away to care for his twin daughters, Cagney and Lacey. His leadership style combines strict professionalism with genuine concern for the detectives under him. He is often the person who steadies the precinct when Jake’s impulsiveness or the squad’s chaos gets out of hand.

Terry’s rank changes as the series progresses: he becomes a lieutenant in season 6 after passing the required exam and ultimately becomes captain in the series finale. Terry Crews was already known for football, advertising, and comedy before the role. The distractors are actors associated with other television roles, not the actor who portrays Terry Jeffords.
