Which actor plays Mike Stamford in BBC Sherlock?

David Nellist plays Mike Stamford in BBC Sherlock. Stamford appears in the opening episode, “A Study in Pink,” as an old acquaintance of John Watson who helps reconnect John with Sherlock Holmes.
