Which actor plays Henry Talbot, Lady Mary's second husband?

Matthew Goode plays Henry Talbot, Lady Mary’s second husband in Downton Abbey.

Henry is introduced in the fifth series as a member of a junior branch of the Talbot family and a passionate racing driver. He meets Mary at Brancaster Castle, but their relationship develops slowly because Mary is still grieving Matthew Crawley, who died in a car accident.

Henry’s love of fast cars becomes a serious obstacle. His friend Charlie Rogers dies during a race, reinforcing Mary’s fear that she could lose another husband to motor racing. Despite her hesitation, Mary eventually accepts Henry’s proposal, and they marry at the end of series six.

A common mix-up is confusing Henry with Mary’s other suitors. Tom Cullen plays Lord Gillingham, while Dan Stevens plays Mary’s first husband, Matthew Crawley. Goode also appears as Henry in the 2019 Downton Abbey film.
