Which actor plays Captain Mick Scoresby in Avatar: Fire and Ash?

Brendan Cowell plays Captain Mick Scoresby in Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Scoresby is an RDA-linked tulkun hunter who represents the industrial exploitation of Pandora’s oceans. His storyline connects the film’s human military interests with the tulkun, the intelligent whale-like creatures introduced prominently in Avatar: The Way of Water.

Cowell is an Australian actor known for film, television, and theatre work. International audiences may also recognize him as Simon in The Borgias, Owen in The End of the F***ing World, or Han in The Last King of Scotland. His casting adds another experienced live-action performer to James Cameron’s large ensemble.

A common mix-up is confusing Scoresby with Colonel Miles Quaritch, played by Stephen Lang, or with Corporal Lyle Wainfleet, played by Matt Gerald. Scoresby is a separate RDA-associated character, and Brendan Cowell is the canonical answer.
