Which actor played Uncle Tomas in the 2006 film Quinceañera?
Answer
Chalo González
Chalo González played Uncle Tomas in the 2006 film Quinceañera.
Uncle Tomas is the older relative who provides a home for Magdalena and Carlos after their family situations become difficult. His house becomes the setting where the cousins form a supportive household outside the approval of their immediate relatives.
The character also represents an older generation within the film’s Mexican American community. His presence connects family history, religious tradition, and changing ideas about sexuality and adulthood.
Quinceañera was directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland. Its principal cast includes Emily Rios as Magdalena and Jesse Garcia as Carlos, with González portraying the relative who shelters them.
