Which actor played Tío Tomás in the 2006 film Quinceañera?

Chalo González played Tío Tomás in the 2006 film Quinceañera.

Tío Tomás is the adult family member who offers support to Magdalena and Carlos. His role gives the film an important perspective on chosen family, acceptance, and the pressures surrounding a traditional celebration.

The title character’s quinceañera is threatened by family and social conflicts, so Tomás becomes part of the story’s emotional safety net. The film uses his household and relationships to explore how family support may come from unexpected places.

Chalo González’s role should not be confused with the film’s younger male lead, Carlos, who was played by Jesse Garcia. Nor is Tío Tomás a traditional quinceañera office; he is a named fictional character in the movie.
