Which actor played Cole Sear in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Sixth Sense?

Haley Joel Osment played Cole Sear in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Sixth Sense.

Cole Sear is a young boy who tells child psychologist Malcolm Crowe that he sees and communicates with dead people. Osment’s performance became the emotional center of the 1999 supernatural thriller and earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Bruce Willis played Malcolm Crowe, the psychologist who tries to help Cole understand his experiences. M. Night Shyamalan wrote and directed the film, which became known for its carefully structured supernatural mystery and its widely discussed ending.

Cole is sometimes confused with other child characters played by Osment, particularly David in A.I. Artificial Intelligence. The Sixth Sense was released in 1999, while A.I. followed in 2001. Osment’s role as Cole remains his most closely associated horror performance.
