Which actor played Carl Rodd in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me?

Harry Dean Stanton played Carl Rodd in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.

Carl Rodd is the manager of the Fat Trout Trailer Park, where Teresa Banks lived before her murder. In the 1992 film, Carl is portrayed as a weary but observant man whose brief encounters reveal the unsettling atmosphere surrounding the trailer park and the people connected to Teresa.

Stanton was a highly regarded American character actor known for films including Alien, Paris, Texas, Repo Man, and The Godfather Part II. His understated presence made him a natural fit for the film’s bleak, dreamlike world.

Carl Rodd also appears in Twin Peaks: The Return, linking the prequel film to the 2017 continuation. Viewers sometimes confuse the character with other film figures such as Special Agent Chester Desmond or Phillip Jeffries, but Carl is the trailer-park manager played by Stanton.
