The half dollar in the 2026 United States semiquincentennial coinage features the Statue of Liberty on its obverse.
The coin’s design is titled “Enduring Liberty.” Its obverse presents the Statue of Liberty, while the reverse shows hands passing the statue’s torch, a visual theme about liberty continuing across generations.
The 2026 program includes special circulating designs across several denominations. The cent and nickel retain their established designs apart from dual dating, while the dime, quarters, half dollar, and dollar receive commemorative treatments.
The half dollar should not be confused with the quarter designs. The quarters cover subjects such as the Mayflower Compact, the Revolutionary War, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Gettysburg Address.
