Which 2025 performer inductee was Jack White's duo with Meg White?
Answer
The White Stripes
Answer
The White Stripes
The 2025 performer inductee that formed Jack White’s duo with Meg White was The White Stripes.
Jack and Meg White founded the Detroit duo in 1997, presenting themselves publicly as siblings even though they had actually been married from 1996 to 2000. Jack played guitar and sang, while Meg’s spare, instinctive drumming became a defining part of the band’s sound. Their limited lineup created a remarkably large impact through raw blues, garage rock and punk influences.
The White Stripes broke through with albums such as White Blood Cells (2001) and Elephant (2003). “Seven Nation Army,” from Elephant, became one of rock’s most recognizable stadium chants. The Raconteurs was another Jack White project, but it was a separate band with several members; The Kills and The Black Keys are also distinct duos. The White Stripes ended in 2011 and entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a performer inductee in 2025.
