Which 2022 film does Avatar: Fire and Ash directly sequel?

Avatar: Fire and Ash directly follows and is the sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water, the 2022 second film in the Avatar series. It continues the story of Jake Sully, Neytiri, and their family on Pandora.

The Way of Water moved the action from the forests featured prominently in the original Avatar to Pandora’s coastal and ocean environments.
