Which 2006 film about a Los Angeles family is titled Quinceañera?

The 2006 film about a Los Angeles family is titled Quinceañera.

The film follows Magdalena Ramirez and her relatives as preparations for her fifteenth-birthday celebration collide with family secrets and social pressures. Its title comes from the important event at the heart of the story.

Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland wrote and directed the film. Emily Rios stars as Magdalena, with Jesse Garcia and Chalo González among the other principal performers. The film presents a Mexican American community in Los Angeles through a personal, fictional drama.

Quinceañera earned major recognition at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, where it won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award. It should be distinguished from documentary or instructional material about real-life quinceañera ceremonies.
