Which 2003 album was 50 Cent’s major-label debut?
Answer
Get Rich or Die Tryin’
Answer
Get Rich or Die Tryin’
50 Cent’s 2003 album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was his major-label debut.
Released by Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records, the album followed the success of his mixtape work and his signing with Eminem and Dr. Dre. Its singles “In da Club,” “21 Questions,” and “P.I.M.P.” made 50 Cent one of the biggest new stars in early-2000s hip-hop.
The record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and sold exceptionally quickly in the United States. Its sound combined Dr. Dre’s polished production with 50 Cent’s clipped delivery, dark humor, and autobiographical street narratives.
The album is frequently confused with The Massacre, which was 50 Cent’s second major studio album and arrived in 2005. Curtis was released in 2007, while Before I Self Destruct followed in 2009. Get Rich or Die Tryin’ is also the title of a 2005 semi-autobiographical film starring the rapper.
