The 1970 epic war film dramatizing Napoleon's final defeat in Belgium is Waterloo.

Waterloo was an ambitious Italian-Soviet co-production produced by Dino De Laurentiis. Its large-scale battle scenes were filmed near Uzhhorod in Soviet Ukraine, using thousands of troops and extensive cavalry formations. The film emphasizes battlefield geography and the movements of commanders as well as the personal experiences of soldiers.
The title is sometimes confused with Napoleon, a general biography, or with films about other Napoleonic battles such as Austerlitz. Waterloo specifically depicts the 1815 campaign that ended Napoleon's rule and led to his final exile on Saint Helena.
