Which 1954 Hitchcock film stars Grace Kelly as a woman targeted for murder by her husband?

The story behind the answer

The 1954 Hitchcock film in which Grace Kelly plays a woman targeted for murder by her husband is Dial M for Murder.

Alfred Hitchcock directed this crime thriller from a screenplay by Frederick Knott, who also wrote the stage play on which it was based. Ray Milland plays Tony Wendice, a former tennis player who devises a plan to have his wealthy wife Margot, played by Grace Kelly, killed. Robert Cummings portrays Mark Halliday, the writer with whom Margot has been having an affair.

Much of the tension comes from the carefully planned murder attempt and the evidence that appears to implicate Margot. The film was originally made in 3-D, although many audiences saw standard two-dimensional presentations. North by Northwest and To Catch a Thief also feature Hitchcock and Grace Kelly connections, while Rear Window stars Kelly in another Hitchcock thriller, but none has this husband’s murder plot.
