Where will you find the Crown Jewels of England?

You will find the Crown Jewels of England at the Tower of London. More precisely, the regalia are displayed and protected in the Jewel House within the historic castle complex.

The phrase “Crown Jewels of England” is commonly used for what is officially known as the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom. The collection includes crowns, sceptres, orbs, swords, and other ceremonial objects used in the coronation and other state ceremonies. Many of the pieces currently in use date from the restoration of the monarchy in 1660–1661, after earlier regalia were destroyed or sold during the English Civil War.

The Tower is a particularly fitting home because it has served as a royal fortress, palace, armory, and prison since the Norman period. Visitors sometimes confuse it with Westminster Abbey, where coronations take place; the Abbey is the ceremony's venue, while the Crown Jewels are kept at the Tower. The collection also includes the famous Cullinan I diamond mounted in the Sovereign's Sceptre.
