Where was Miami's winning Super Bowl VIII played?

The story behind the answer

Miami's winning Super Bowl VIII was played at Rice Stadium in Houston, Texas.

The Miami Dolphins defeated the Minnesota Vikings 24–7 on January 13, 1974, winning the NFL championship for the 1973 season. Rice Stadium was an outdoor college football venue operated by Rice University, rather than the Houston Astrodome, which was the city's better-known professional sports facility at the time.

The victory gave Miami its second consecutive Super Bowl title and made the Dolphins the first American Football League or AFC team to win back-to-back Super Bowls. Miami also became the first team to appear in three consecutive Super Bowls. The Dolphins had lost Super Bowl VI before defeating Washington in Super Bowl VII.

Fullback Larry Csonka was named the game's Most Valuable Player after rushing for 145 yards. Super Bowl VIII was also unusual because the host stadium was not the current home of an NFL or AFL franchise; the Houston Oilers had moved from Rice Stadium to the Astrodome in 1968.
