Frank Sinatra is buried at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City, California. His grave is located beside those of his parents, Anthony “Marty” Sinatra and Dolly Sinatra.

Sinatra died in Los Angeles on May 14, 1998, and his funeral was held at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills six days later. His burial then took place in the Coachella Valley, near the desert communities where he had maintained a strong personal connection and owned homes.

The cemetery’s name can be confused with several famous California burial grounds, including Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Hollywood’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Those locations are associated with many entertainment figures, but neither is Sinatra’s resting place. Desert Memorial Park is in Cathedral City, near Palm Springs.

Sinatra was buried wearing a blue business suit. His original grave marker carried the phrases “The Best Is Yet to Come” and “Beloved Husband & Father.” The marker was changed in 2021 after the original was damaged, adding another small chapter to the story of one of popular music’s most recognizable graves.
