Filming started on September 15, 2025, in Vancouver. The city has long been a major production center for television and streaming projects because of its experienced crews, varied locations, and film infrastructure.

The Vancouver location is a production fact, not the fictional setting of the story. Within the film, the characters return to Camp Rock, where the competition for Connect 3’s opening act takes place. Production later wrapped on November 1, 2025. The movie was officially announced in September 2025, with the Jonas Brothers and Maria Canals-Barrera returning from the earlier films. Demi Lovato later joined the returning cast in a small Mitchie Torres appearance.
