Where did 2017 NFL first round draft pick Leonard Fournette play college football?

The story behind the answer

Leonard Fournette played college football at LSU, officially Louisiana State University, before entering the 2017 NFL Draft.

Fournette joined the LSU Tigers in 2014 as one of the most highly rated running-back recruits in the country. He immediately made an impact, rushing for 1,034 yards as a freshman and setting an LSU freshman rushing record. His powerful running style and breakaway speed quickly made him one of college football’s most recognizable players.

In 2015, Fournette produced one of the finest seasons by an LSU running back, rushing for 1,953 yards and 22 touchdowns. He led the nation in rushing and finished sixth in Heisman Trophy voting. An ankle injury limited him during his junior season, but he still finished his LSU career with 3,830 rushing yards and 40 rushing touchdowns.

A common mix-up is confusing LSU with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who selected Fournette fourth overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. LSU was his college team; Jacksonville was his first NFL team.
