TLC released their album “CrazySexyCool” in 1994. The group’s second studio album arrived on November 15 through LaFace Records and Arista Records, following their 1992 debut, “Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip.”
The album marked a major creative and commercial leap for Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. Producers including Dallas Austin, Babyface, Sean “Puffy” Combs, Jermaine Dupri, and Organized Noize helped shape its blend of R&B, hip-hop soul, and polished pop.
“CrazySexyCool” produced several of TLC’s signature songs, including “Creep,” “Red Light Special,” and “Waterfalls.” It became one of the defining albums of 1990s R&B and was later certified diamond in the United States. A common mix-up is confusing its release year with the group’s debut in 1992 or its follow-up, “FanMail,” released in 1999.
