What was the title of the first chapter of Jun Mochizuki’s manga Pandora Hearts?

The first chapter of Jun Mochizuki’s manga Pandora Hearts is titled “The B-Rabbit.” The title introduces one of the series’ central figures, a powerful Chain whose appearance resembles a large black rabbit and whose identity is tied to Alice.

Pandora Hearts begins with Oz Vessalius’s coming-of-age ceremony. During the event, masked figures condemn him to the Abyss, where he encounters the Chain known as the B-Rabbit. His subsequent contract with Alice launches the main mystery.

The B-Rabbit is not simply a nickname for an ordinary animal. In the manga’s terminology, Chains are supernatural beings connected to the Abyss, and the B-Rabbit is one of the most important. The title is therefore both a character introduction and a clue to the series’ mythology.
