Homecoming was the 2019 Netflix film about Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella performance.
Titled Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé, the documentary was released on Netflix on April 17, 2019. It combines concert footage from Beyoncé’s 2018 appearances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with behind-the-scenes material about the production.
The performance featured a large marching-band-inspired ensemble, choreography, and a set drawing on Black college and university traditions. Beyoncé became the first Black woman to headline Coachella in 2018. Homecoming is distinct from Black Is King, her 2020 visual album connected to The Lion King: The Gift, and from Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, released in 2023.
