What was the surname of House M.D.'s original diagnostic-team member Allison Cameron?

The story behind the answer

Allison Cameron was the surname of House M.D.'s original diagnostic-team member played by Jennifer Morrison. Cameron is one of the three fellows selected by House at the start of the series.

The original team also included Robert Chase and Eric Foreman. Cameron is an immunologist whose compassionate approach often contrasts with House's abrasive methods, although she is capable of making difficult and unconventional decisions.

Cameron's personal history shapes some of her medical choices. She was widowed before the series begins, and that experience contributes to her empathy for patients and families.

She later leaves House's team and works in other hospital roles, but remains connected to the Princeton-Plainsboro story. Her character is sometimes confused with Thirteen, another female doctor who joins the diagnostic department in a later season.
