What was the planned November 1945 Allied invasion of Kyushu called in Operation Downfall?

The story behind the answer

The planned November 1945 Allied invasion of Kyushu was called Operation Olympic.

Operation Olympic was the first stage of Operation Downfall, the proposed invasion of Japan’s home islands. It was scheduled to begin on November 1, 1945, with the U.S. Sixth Army landing at several points on southern Kyushu.

The plan called for Allied forces to seize southern Kyushu and use it as a base for later operations. A second stage, Operation Coronet, was intended to attack Honshu near Tokyo in March 1946. These invasions were never carried out because Japan surrendered in August and formally signed the surrender instrument in September.

Operation Olympic is often confused with Operation Coronet because both belonged to Downfall. Operation Neptune, by contrast, was the naval component of the Normandy invasion in Europe in 1944, not a plan for Japan.
