What was the name of the Ricardos' son?

The Ricardos’ son was named Little Ricky. His full name is Ricky Ricardo Jr., and he is the child of Lucy Ricardo and her husband, bandleader Ricky Ricardo.

Little Ricky was introduced during the second season of I Love Lucy. His birth was written to coincide with Lucille Ball’s real-life pregnancy and was one of the most famous television storylines of the era. The episode “Lucy Goes to the Hospital,” which features his arrival, became a landmark broadcast and drew an enormous audience.

Several performers played Little Ricky as the character aged. The best-known later performer was Keith Thibodeaux, credited under the stage name Richard Keith. Little Ricky eventually becomes a drummer, reflecting his father’s musical career. The character also continued into The Lucy–Desi Comedy Hour, the hour-long continuation that followed I Love Lucy after its original six-season run.
