What was the name of Rembrandt’s daughter with Hendrickje Stoffels?

The story behind the answer

Cornelia was the name of Rembrandt’s daughter with Hendrickje Stoffels.

Cornelia was baptized in Amsterdam in 1654. She was the only child born to Rembrandt and Hendrickje, who lived together after the death of Rembrandt’s first wife, Saskia van Uylenburgh. Cornelia grew up in a household shaped by Rembrandt’s artistic work and continuing financial difficulties.

Cornelia is less famous than Rembrandt’s son Titus, who appears in several portraits and became involved in managing his father’s affairs. She nevertheless remained part of the family’s complicated inheritance history. Rembrandt’s estate was heavily burdened by debt when he died in 1669.

This fact can be confused with the children Rembrandt had with Saskia. Saskia gave birth to four children, but only Titus survived infancy. Cornelia was born later to Hendrickje, not to Saskia. Rembrandt also had other household relationships, but the documented daughter of Hendrickje and Rembrandt was Cornelia.
