What was the name of Part 1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield’s expansion pass?
Answer
The Isle of Armor
Answer
The Isle of Armor
Part 1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield’s expansion pass was called The Isle of Armor.
The downloadable content was released in June 2020 for Nintendo Switch. It added a new island area, new characters, new story content, returning Pokémon, and the Legendary Pokémon Kubfu, which can evolve into Urshifu.
Part 2, The Crown Tundra, followed in October 2020. Together, the two releases formed the first expansion pass for a main-series Pokémon game, replacing the older pattern of issuing a separate enhanced version such as Pokémon Emerald or Pokémon Platinum.
The Isle of Armor is often mixed up with The Crown Tundra because both were sold through the same expansion pass. It is also distinct from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s later expansion, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, whose parts were The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.
