Omar Epps played Eric Foreman, one of House’s original diagnostic-team colleagues.
Foreman is a neurologist who joins House’s initial team at Princeton-Plainsboro. His medical skill, skepticism, and concern about House’s methods create a recurring contrast with House’s impulsive diagnostic style. Foreman is played by Omar Epps from the series premiere onward.
The original team also included Robert Chase, played by Jesse Spencer, and Allison Cameron, played by Jennifer Morrison. Those names are common sources of confusion because all three doctors worked closely together during the early seasons. Chris Taub joined later and was not part of the original trio.
Foreman’s role expands as the series progresses. He eventually becomes a leader within the hospital and takes on greater administrative responsibility, while maintaining his connection to diagnostic medicine. The character’s specialty, neurology, is separate from the broader diagnostic function of House’s team.
