What was the name of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s only daughter to survive infancy?

The story behind the answer

Fyodor Dostoevsky’s only daughter to survive infancy was Lyubov Dostoevskaya.

Lyubov was born in 1869 to Dostoevsky and his second wife, Anna Grigoryevna Snitkina. She was their second child. Their first child, a daughter named Sonya, died in infancy in 1868, making Lyubov the only daughter of the couple to reach adulthood.

Lyubov later wrote memoirs about her father and family life. Her recollections provide biographical material about Dostoevsky, although memoirs must be read alongside letters, diaries, and other contemporary evidence because personal memories can be selective.

She is sometimes confused with Sonya, whose short life is significant in the family history but who did not survive infancy. Lyubov also used the name Aimée in some contexts and died in 1926 in Italy.
