What was the name of FIFA 23’s final major update for the 2022 FIFA World Cup?

FIFA 23’s final major World Cup content was the FIFA World Cup 2022 update.

Electronic Arts released a free World Cup update for FIFA 23 in November 2022, timed to the tournament in Qatar. It added official tournament presentation, teams, stadium elements, kits, match balls, and World Cup modes.

The update also included live content connected with the competition. Players could recreate the tournament, play selected matches, and experience tournament-specific presentation without buying a separate World Cup game.

This differed from older FIFA releases, when Electronic Arts often published standalone World Cup titles. FIFA 23 instead kept the World Cup inside the main annual game through downloadable content. The update was separate from the game’s earlier launch content and from FIFA Ultimate Team’s continuing seasonal campaigns.
