FIFA 11’s player-personality system was called Personality+.
Personality+ was designed to make players behave more distinctly according to their real-world characteristics. Elite passers, dribblers, defenders, and physical players were intended to show different strengths rather than feeling interchangeable when controlled in the same situation.
The system built on attribute-based football gameplay. It did not mean that every player received a unique animation set or that the game recreated a person perfectly. Instead, ratings and contextual behaviour influenced how players performed actions such as passing, tackling, crossing, and shooting.
FIFA 11 was released in 2010. Its marketing placed strong emphasis on player individuality, while later FIFA editions introduced additional systems for personality, movement, and artificial intelligence.
