Answer
Alfred Stieglitz
Georgia O'Keeffe's photographer husband was Alfred Stieglitz. Stieglitz was an influential American photographer, publisher, and gallery owner who helped introduce European modern art to the United States.
He first encountered O'Keeffe's abstract charcoal drawings through the art educator Anita Pollitzer. Stieglitz exhibited the drawings at his New York gallery, 291, in 1916, initially without O'Keeffe's permission. Their artistic and personal relationship developed afterward.
They married in 1924. Stieglitz photographed O'Keeffe extensively, producing hundreds of portraits that became an important part of his later photographic work. O'Keeffe also became closely associated with the modernist circle around his galleries.
Stieglitz and O'Keeffe lived mainly in New York during the early part of their marriage, while O'Keeffe increasingly spent time in New Mexico. They remained married until Stieglitz died in 1946.
