What was Taylor Swift’s song “august” peak on the Billboard Hot 100?

Taylor Swift’s song “august” peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song entered the chart after Folklore was released on July 24, 2020. Its Hot 100 debut appeared on the chart dated August 8, 2020, giving the track an especially fitting chart week for its title and seasonal theme.

“august” remained on the Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks. It was not released as a traditional lead single, but its album-track performance benefited from the enormous attention surrounding Folklore, which sent every song from the album onto major charts.

The song’s Hot 100 peak is different from its performance on genre-specific and international charts. For example, it reached number five on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart and later achieved a number-46 peak on the Billboard Global 200.
