“Rein Me In” peaked at number 64 on the Billboard Hot 100. The achievement made it Sam Fender’s first appearance on the U.S. singles chart and marked an important international milestone for the collaboration with Olivia Dean.
The song began as a track on Fender’s 2025 album People Watching. Dean later joined him for a reworked version, adding a new verse from a female perspective. Their live performances helped build interest before the duet version was released as a single in June 2025.
A common mix-up is confusing the song’s U.S. peak with its UK performance. In the UK, “Rein Me In” eventually reached number one after a long climb, while number 64 refers specifically to the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. It also performed strongly in other markets, including Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
