What was Nike’s first performance shoe made with Flyknit technology?
Answer
Nike Flyknit Racer
Answer
Nike Flyknit Racer
Nike’s first performance shoe made with Flyknit technology was the Nike Flyknit Racer.
Nike introduced Flyknit in 2012 as a knitted upper construction designed to provide lightweight support with very little excess material. The Flyknit Racer was created for distance running and became the technology’s defining early performance model.
The shoe attracted attention because its upper could be engineered with different densities: tighter areas could provide support, while more open sections could improve flexibility and ventilation. This made the construction different from conventional multi-piece uppers.
The Flyknit Racer is often confused with later shoes such as the Flyknit Trainer. Those models also used Flyknit, but they came after the original performance introduction. Flyknit is an upper technology, not a cushioning system like Nike Air or React.
